DK 2020 70198 A1 1 Container system with a plurality of containers separated by detachable seal and detachable seal Introduction The present invention relates to a container system which the user can open by hand, with at least two containers each with its own contents, the contents of the two containers being able to be mixed by to create an opening between these two spaces. Description of the prior art When two different materials in each container are to be mixed, one usually has two lids, namely a lid from each container, which is often, on the inside, more or less coated with a part of the contents of the container. It is cumbersome and often spills some of the contents during opening and mixing.
A good example is a yoghurt cup with an attached container. Many people have experienced how difficult it is to avoid getting dirty fingers, and to avoid getting yoghurt on the table, for example, when you sit with an open container and foil on which there is yoghurt, while working to get a spoon up the muesli container without spilling all the contents.
Object of the invention The object of the invention is to provide a solution in which the contents of one container can be mixed with the contents of another container, where the risk and / or the possibility of coming into direct contact with the contents of one or the other container is considerably reduced. It is therefore desirable to provide a container system where the user can prepare the contents of the container system e.g. mix muesli in yogurt without getting dirty fingers.
Description of the invention The object of the invention is met with a container system as described in the following. The container system comprises at least two containers, the contents of which can
DK 2020 70198 A1 2 mixed. The contents of the at least two containers are arranged to be able to be sealed with a tear-off tight layer, for example a plastic or metal foil. It can be by means of two independent layers, a first layer and a second layer, each sealing a container. It can also be a single layer which is folded so that it functions as two layers, where both a first and a second layer are arranged so that at least a part of said two layers can be removed by means of a tear-off means, where the tear-off means can be activated outside the containers, so that an opening can be created within the circumference of the container, so that contents from the two containers can be mixed, for example by the force of gravity.
Alternatively, the object of the invention is met by a container system comprising at least one seal and two containers. The containers each have their opening and can be arranged to accommodate each their contents. The containers may be arranged to be arranged with an opening in one container facing an opening in another container. The seal can be arranged to be arranged between the opening in the two containers, so that the contents of the containers are kept separate. The seal may comprise a tear-off means adapted to be activated with an applied force outside the container system when the at least two containers are arranged with their openings facing each other. The tear-off means may be arranged to transfer the applied force in whole or in part to the seal, so that the seal is completely or partially removed between the openings, so that contents from at least two containers can be mixed.
| this description, containers may be comparable to cups, cups or the like. The tear-off means may be a tear-off strip applied to at least one of the said two layers, the tear-off strip being optionally fixed to a layer on each side of the tear-off strip, so as to be located between the two layers. Thus, by pulling on the tear strip, both layers can be opened on the same
DK 2020 70198 A1 3 time and in one movement. Alternatively, a tear strip may be fixed to only a first layer. The second layer can in the latter case be joined to the first layer, thus enabling opening of both layers at the same time. All layers can each be made of a suitable material, including plastic and / or metal foil, or equivalent suitable material. In one embodiment, the container system may comprise three or more containers, wherein two containers are arranged to be arranged with their opening facing an opening in a third container. The seal may be arranged to be arranged between the opening in the third container and the openings in the two containers. In yet another embodiment of the container system, the seal may comprise a single layer which seals two or more containers.
In yet another embodiment, of the container system, the seal may comprise at least two layers, each of which seals at least one container. In a preferred embodiment of the container system, a first container may be located on top of a second container so that contents from the first and upper containers fall into the contents of the second and lower containers when the tear agent is activated. This will typically be done by activation outside the containers, as a tear strip may be passed along the first or along the first and second layers out to the side of the container, so as to create a break in the first or in the first and second layers and thereby an opening between the two containers. The activation of fractures on one or the two layers takes place by means of the pull from the outside in the tear-off means. In a preferred embodiment, said tear-off means may be a strip of, for example, plastic, wherein the strip may be connected to the at least two said layers or at least the first layer, said second layer being
DK 2020 70198 A1 4 attached to the first layer. The strip is preferably attached to the said two layers at the end which is opposite to the direction towards which the strip is pulled out in whole or in part.
Alternatively, in yet another embodiment of the container system, the tear means may comprise a tear strip having a first and a second side, at least one side of which is fixed to the seal. | a further embodiment, both sides of the tear-off strip may be fixed to the seal with one side fixed to one layer and the other side fixed to the same layer or to another layer and arranged outside the individual containers so that the tear-off strip does not come into contact with the contents in the container system. | yet another embodiment, at least the first and preferably also the second layer may be provided with an opening zone with one or more breaking lines, for example an embossed impression, whereby the breaking strength of the foil is reduced relative to the surrounding material and thereby allows a controlled breaking of one or two of the said layers. Such fracture zones are known, for example, from different types of packaging, where an opening is intended to take place at a predetermined location. | yet another embodiment, said opening zone may be established by a thin thickness of a layer along the periphery of the opening zone except on a single piece of the periphery, so that the opening zone still sits with said layer after the strip has been pulled and an opening in said layer established. The indicative function of the fracture line can also be established in other ways than by means of a thin thickness such as a depression with a sharp edge. Alternatively, in yet another embodiment of the container system, the seal may be provided with one or more opening zones comprising one or more breaking lines.
DK 2020 70198 A1 Alternatively, in yet another embodiment of the container system, the fracture line may consist of a perforation, an embossing, a reduced layer thickness and / or a combination thereof. In yet another embodiment, the fracture is facilitated by the fact that the first layer may be provided with an area which is provided with a perforated fracture line which is desired to be fractured. The effect of a perforated breaking line and an embossing is largely the same, but with the difference that a perforation precisely perforates the current layer and thus does not form part of an airtight or perhaps liquid-tight packaging. One or more of the independent layers may be either perforated or with embossments or with another type of indicator for where on the current layer or layers a fracture is desired when said tear-off means is activated. When pulling on the tear-off strip, the opening zone of the first and second layers is pulled off. The fractures in the opening zones of the first and second layers occur more easily if they are arranged with fracture lines along these. The opening thus created means that the contents of the containers are mixed. The tear-off strip itself will in most embodiments be arranged to be retracted horizontally, whereby an opening can be created between the containers. It is preferred that at least said second layer on the lower container may close tightly throughout the circumference of the container until it is torn off by the user.
In a preferred embodiment, the layer of the lower container can be completely torn off. The seal, which has been referred to herein as a layer, may be a grease-repellent paper layer, a thin piece of tinfoil or foil, a thin plastic layer or the like. Alternatively, in yet another embodiment of the container system, the seal may
DK 2020 70198 A1 6 consists of a plastic or metal foil. Alternatively, in yet another embodiment of the container system, the seal may comprise a means of agitation.
Placement of a stirring stick, spoon or the like can be combined with the tear-off strip and can optionally be built into or on the tear-off strip itself.
Yet another example of an embodiment of the container system according to the invention may be where the containers are with flanges provided with an adhesive edge. The independent layers can thus be fixed to the flanges of a container by gluing along the periphery of the container itself. Hereby an air and / or liquid tight joint can be obtained between a sealing layer and a container.
Alternatively, in yet another embodiment of the container system, the seal may be fixed to one or more containers along the opening by means of an adhesive.
The object of the invention can in another aspect be met with a seal for a container system, wherein the seal is arranged to be arranged between an opening in two or more containers arranged to accommodate a contents, so that the contents of the containers are kept separate. The seal may comprise a tear-off means arranged to be activated with an applied force outside the container system, when the at least two containers are arranged with their openings facing each other, the tear-off means being arranged to transmit the applied force in whole or in part to the seal, thus the seal completely or partially removed between the openings so that contents from the two containers can be mixed.
DK 2020 70198 A1 7 The container system may be similar to the versions of container systems described above. The benefits and effects of a seal in this embodiment may be in line with the effects and benefits already described for the container system either alone or in combination. Figure overview In order that the invention may be more readily understood, some non-limiting examples of embodiments will now be described in detail with reference to the figures, in which: Figs. 1 shows a yoghurt cup with yoghurt and muesli according to the prior art. FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of a container system according to the invention.
FIG. 3 shows a tear-off strip for the container in FIG. 2 according to the invention. FIG. 4 shows a partially opened container as shown in FIG. 2, the tear-off strip and thus the opening zone in both layers being retracted by means of the tear-off strip so that there is an opening between the two containers. FIG. 5 shows a container as shown in FIG. 2, where one tear strip at the free end comprises a built-in, folded spoon. Detailed description of the figures Figs. 1 shows a yoghurt product which is sold on the Danish grocery market. It contains yoghurt in a lower container, which is sealed with a plastic foil, while a lid for it is a container that contains misli and a plastic spoon and is sealed with a plastic foil. When you have to remove the plastic foils and mix the contents from the upper container into the lower container, you can hardly avoid getting yoghurt on your fingers.
DK 2020 70198 A1 8 As mentioned, the yoghurt cup has a lid which is sealed with a thin transparent foil. The lid contains muesli and a folded spoon. When you want to consume the product, you first remove the lid, but possibly wait to unpack the parts. Then remove the foil that seals the yoghurt in the cup. This foil is often lightly smeared in yogurt. You often do not have a rubbish bin nearby, so you place the foil in a hopefully suitable place. During this maneuver, it often happens that one's fingers become coated with a little yogurt. Then remove the foil from the lid and take the folded spoon out of the muesli, which risks spreading any yoghurt from the fingers up the shaft of the spoon when you unfold the spoon. Next, you mix the muesli in the yogurt and eat your meal. Finally, you must dispose of all packaging and may find a suitable trash can, but often have no paper to degrease your fingers afterwards.
FIG. 2, at the top shows a container system 1, according to the invention. It comprises a first, upper container 2, a second, lower container 3, a double layer or two single layers (not shown) on top of each other 4, equipped with a piece of the layers 4, outside the flange edge of the container. When used for a product, the first, upper container 2 could be used for a first product, while the second, lower container could be used for a second product. This allows two components to be stored and mixed only when desired.
The double layer, which is folded or two single layers on top of each other 4, may optionally be fixed with glue partly to the flange edge of the first, upper container 2, and partly to the flange edge of the second, lower container 3, in order to hold the contents and preferably on the entire periphery of these terminating edges to shield it from environmental pollution.
In the case of a container system comprising cups to be used
DK 2020 70198 A1 9 for yoghurt with muesli, the first, upper container 2, will typically contain muesli and the second, lower container 3, yoghurt.
A tear strip 5 is shown between the double layer 4, which seals partly the first, upper container 2 and partly the second, lower container 3. The upper side of the double layer facing the first, upper container 2 is attached to the upper side of the tear strip, while the lower side of the double layer facing the second, lower container 3 is attached to the lower side of the tear-off strip.
The operation of the tear strip 5 is in the first step during use of the container system because it is attached to the double layer 4 as indicated above, or to a single layer 4 on each side of the strip 5 (not shown), so that the strip 5 is between the two single layers.
By pulling on the tear-off strip 5, pull off part of the double layer 4 or the two single layers 4 (not shown).
This creates an opening in the opening zone 7 along the fracture line discussed under Figs. 3. The remaining steps in the operation of the container system shown are discussed below under Figs. FIG. 2, at the bottom shows a container system 1, according to the invention.
It comprises a two containers 12 and a seal 14. The containers each have an opening 13, and the containers are arranged so that the openings face each other.
The seal 14 comprises a tear-off means 15. The seal 14 is arranged to be arranged between the two containers 12. Alternatively, the container system may contain 3 containers, illustrated by the dotted line in the upper part, which should illustrate that it comprises two containers and thereby two openings facing the opening in the lower container.
FIG. 3 shows a double layer 4 which is part of an embodiment of the container system according to the invention.
The double layer is unfolded here. | the final product may be folded along the dotted line.
The holes 6 are handles for the user's fingers to hold back in the double layer 4 when pulling the tear strip 5, (see Fig. 2) in the opposite direction.
DK 2020 70198 A1 10 The area 7, is an opening zone 7, so that a part of the double layer 4 can be torn off, and at least partially removed, The double layer 4, can have an advantageous function during production of a product with content in the containers.
For example, if the first, upper container 2 is filled with product, perhaps muesli, at a first location, and the second, lower container 3 is filled at another location with another product, perhaps yoghurt, it may be appropriate to first fill an amount of the upper containers, after which these can be placed in a magazine arranged for that purpose prior to mounting these upper containers on the lower containers.
The film shown in FIG. 3, is a double foil 4, the two circular areas each forming what will each seal its own container 2, 3. When the double layer 4 is folded around the dotted line and placed on top of each other, a tear-off strip 5 can be embedded between the two layers 4. This tear-off strip 5 is seen in fig. 2 and in fig. 4 and is fixed to both opening zones 7 at the end thereof closest to the holes 6 in the handle.
When the tear-off strip 5 is then pulled, the breaking line will be broken and the foil in the opening zones 4 will be pulled away and in principle turned into itself, whereby the user will not immediately come into contact with any contents from the two containers.
In addition, there is also no risk of spillage, as the two containers, while mixing the contents, are still either interconnected along the periphery of the flange edges or alternatively connected via gluing or welding between the two foil layers.
After the contents of the two containers 2, 3 have been mixed in, for example, the lower container 3, the upper container 2 and the foil can be released by pulling the remaining foil free from the flange edge of the lower container 3. The foil including the upper container can then disposed of.
DK 2020 70198 A1 11 Fig. 4 shows the state of a container system according to the invention, in which the tear-off strip is pulled out horizontally, so that the material of the first and second layers in the opening zone 7 is removed.
An opening is seen between the upper and lower containers, and the container system is still assembled with the first upper container 2, on top of the second lower container 3. FIG. 5 shows the same embodiment as in FIG. 2, comprising a folded spoon 9 built into the tear-off strip, 5. The spoon is intended to be used while eating the contents of the container, for example yoghurt with misli.
However, it could also be the case that a stirring stick or something else could be built into the tear-off strip 5, which could be advantageous in the case of a two-component product which must be stirred together before use.
It could be, for example, an adhesive mixture, a filler or the like.
Whether it is a spoon as shown here, or a stirring stick or something else, it also has the effect that it acts as a handle on the tear-off strip, which thereby becomes easier to hold the grip in.
